CES 2019 is over. It is the largest and most influential tech expo for consumer products in the world. 1. The voice assistant that teaches you manners
We have known about the rising popularity of the voice assistants produced by e.g. Google and Amazon for a while now. In the future, the goal is to be able to control all our devices with voice commands. The technology goes one step further, even. The smart speakers of the future are taught to recognise whether a request is made nicely. “Would you turn the TV on, please?” instead of “Turn on the TV!” In this way, the speaker can help teach children – and adults – some much-needed manners.
